June 19th, 2012 - Watertown Cap Bust

We initially targeted the Watertown area with a 5% chance of tornadoes.

My dear, long time friend Tony Laubach, was leading a tour group doing some chasing this week.  We met up with them in a Starbucks parking lot where we would end up spending 9 hours waiting for storms that would never happen.  At least with good company and coffee, some music and good attitudes, no day is ever really a bust! :)

Waiting, wishing and hoping.

You know it's a slow and painful cap bust when you resort to taking photos of dandelions...

Our little prize for the day:  a roll cloud.  It wasn't much, but it was still pretty cool.
